The problem

The answer was given. Nobody kept it.

A manager asks in a Teams channel, a finance lead answers. Two weeks later the reply sits under a meeting recap and a file link.

The same question turns up in a different channel and reaches the same person again. Another ten minutes of someone's afternoon.

Cost
20%

of the working week goes to searching for information or the right colleague (McKinsey).

Risk
42%

of role-specific expertise is known only by the person currently doing the job (Panopto).

Interruption
23 min

of refocus time after each interruption (UC Irvine).

How it works

Three clicks on a Teams conversation that already happened

A teammate saves the thread.

Anyone on the team can save a whole Teams thread to Pravodha and add a title, a department and tags in one step.

Maya Chen Why a separate subdomain per tenant instead of a tenant ID in the URL?
Sam Rivera Short version: isolation. The tenant is resolved from the hostname before any route logic runs, so one company's data can't leak into another's.
Sam Rivera Cookies are scoped per subdomain too.

A source tag is added automatically. You can add up to 3 more.

AI-assisted capture organizes it.

The thread becomes a searchable entry with a summary and topic tags, and the full conversation stays attached behind the summary.

Why we use a subdomain per tenant

Each tenant gets its own subdomain, so the tenant is resolved from the hostname before any application logic runs. Cookies are scoped per subdomain, which stops one tenant's session being replayed against another. The tradeoff is DNS and certificate management, handled per tenant today.

The author gets the credit.

The entry carries the name of the person who answered. Colleagues like and bookmark what helped, and those likes build expertise badges on the author's profile, from grey at 1 to 4 likes up to gold at 20.

  • Grey: 1 to 4 likes
  • Blue: 5 to 9 likes

What the next person sees

A search returns the saved answer with its summary, the author's name, the reply count and the tags. The full thread sits one click behind it, so the context arrives with the answer.

FAQ

Questions about Teams capture

How do we save a Teams conversation?

Any teammate saves the whole thread in three clicks and adds the title, department and tags in one step. The expert who gave the answer does nothing extra.

What is sideloading?

Sideloading installs the Pravodha app in Microsoft Teams directly, without the Teams app store. The app store listing is coming soon.

Who can see a saved entry?

Each entry is associated with a department and is visible to the people subscribed to that department. People can subscribe to as many departments as they choose.
